Handling holes and crimping/welding

Lochen und Verriegeln

Handling holes are provided on request. Each pile back is then provided with a hole as indicated on the drawing. Holes can be provided at a distance of either 75 or 300 mm from the upper pile edge (to be specified when placing the order).

The section moduli stated in this brochure for LARSSEN sections require locking of the pile interlocks either by factory cramping, factory shear-resistant welding or site welding.

Double piles are double crimped at intervals of approx. 0.4 m, triple sheet piles are double crimped at intervals of 0.8 m. Crimps may also be spaced with smaller intervals by agreement.

In the case of displacement of the interlocks, each crimping point is capable of absorbing at least 75 kN at a displacement of 5 mm.

If fabricated piles such as corner, junction and adapter piles cannot be pressed due to technical reasons, they are welded at both ends.

These details only apply to once-only section replacement.
Always consult us if sections in continuous walls are to be regularly replaced.
