Environmental protection
Never before in mankind's long history has the environmental aspect been held in such high esteem. Our environment is our greatest good. Its condition determines the quality of life for future generations.
This insight involves both commitment and challenge at the same time.
Steel meets the highest environmentally friendly standards. It distinguishes itself in particular by the fact that it is almost completely recyclable and environmentally harmless. Its ecological balance is convincing because its production conserves raw materials and energy resources.
Our sheet piles can be dismantled easily if required and the original condition of the terrain restored.
This is also an active contribution to environmental protection and a convincing reason for using steel sections.
HSP – ÖKOPROFIT company
On December 13, 2004, the HSP Hoesch Spundwand und Profil GmbH was named an ÖKOPROFIT company by NRW Environment Minister Ms. Bärbel Höhn in Dortmund Town Hall, together with 12 other local companies. This was the culmination of a comprehensive year-long process, which included the reorganisation of all environmental protection measures within the company and ended with inspection by an external commission.
ÖKOPROFIT stands for Ecological Project for Integrated Environmental Technology.
It is a cooperation between local districts, the local economy and other local and national partners. The ÖKOPROFIT concept was developed in Graz (Austria), adapted for Germany and is currently practised in around 39 districts in NRW alone.
The aim of the project is to reduce consumption of resources and waste in the companies.
The advantages for both sides are clear:
- The companies reduce their costs.
- Pressure on the environment is reduced.
What HSP Hoesch Spundwand und Profil GmbH has achieved as part of the project is plain to see:
We see our status as an ÖKOPROFIT company as recognition of our company goals, which are orientated towards both social and environmental objectives. To us, it also gives us an obligation to continue on this path.
